The Federation is made up of over 150 member worlds, populated with many diverse races. And even though Starfleet is predominantly made up of humans many ship crews have become more diverse over the decades.

Starfleet ships are made up of dedicated professionals who train hard to earn their positions. Officers undergo 4-year programs at Starfleet Academy while enlisted personnel is put through rigorous basic training.
